Make an Advising Appointment
Appointments
During the academic year/summer, please schedule via Nexus, email CAHNRacademics@uconn.edu or call the office at 860-486-2919 to schedule an appointment. The Academic Programs Office hosts in-person, phone and virtual appointments using the Webex platform. If you choose make a virtual appointment, you will receive a Webex meeting invite to your UConn email prior to the meeting. Please use this invite to meet with your advisor.
Drop-In Appointments
During the academic year/summer, we ask that students make an appointment to discuss their academic issues. Advisors will be available throughout the semester and during the summer. You may drop in to meet with someone but we cannot guarantee an advisor will be available to meet with you when you arrive. Please contact us ahead to schedule an appointment if you must meet with an advisor in person to discuss your options. Students on probation, warning, or retained/readmitted from dismissal must make an appointment to review their academic standing.
How To Prepare for Your Appointment
If you are a current student seeking advising for a subsequent semester, please contact your advisor of record (major advisor) for guidance. If you are having difficulties connecting with your advisor, please make an appointment with an advisor in the Office of Academic Programs.
If you are a student on probation, warning, or retained on a successful dismissal appeal, please schedule an appointment with your advisor of record (major advisor) or an advisor in the our office. Please also complete your Academic Recovery and Engagement Plan (AREP) or Recovery Success Plan (RSP) in the Scholastic Standing portal prior to your appointment. For other questions or concerns, please contact the Center for guidance at (860) 486-2919.
